Power Purchase Agreements (PPA)

A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is a contractual arrangement involving two parties: the electricity generator, often referred to as the "Developer," "Asset Owner," or "Generator," and the purchaser, known as the "Offtaker."

Under this agreement, the buyer commits to acquiring renewable energy generated from a particular source, based on a predefined pricing framework established by the seller. This pricing structure can be either fixed or flexible. PPAs prove especially beneficial for businesses with high electricity consumption needs and for suppliers seeking to purchase energy for resale within the retail market.

Power Purchase Agreement Solutions

(PPA)

A&S Energy provides comprehensive assistance to both PPA developers and buyers.

For buyers, we offer guidance on PPA options and the related risks, highlight developer projects, handle contract negotiations, verify statements, monitor asset performance, and oversee the transfer of Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) certificates.

For developers, we connect them with corporate buyers and suppliers worldwide. Our analysts offer long-term power market forecasts and facilitate introductions to potential buyers. These introductions not only assist developers in meeting their requirements but also enable buyers to reduce costs and advance their net zero objectives. Our engagement with both sides plays a crucial role in mediating and structuring agreements.
